Paradiddle Studios is an independent game studio in Australia, building character-driven stories where the hours in a day are the real currency.
You are the only human student at Bajutsu Academy, the nation's most prestigious school for horses.
A romance visual novel across a single sixty-day term. There are six people you might fall for, a full timetable, a part-time job, and only three free hours in a day — and every hour you give to someone is an hour you did not give to somebody else.
Bonds deepen when you tend them and cool when you do not. Nobody waits politely offstage for you to come back. By the last week of term, the friendships you kept and the ones you let go have quietly decided what kind of ending you are walking into.
Make felt monsters, then take them out into a little felt world to play.
An open-ended toy for children aged about four to nine. Pick a body, eyes, a mouth, a colour and an outfit in the Lab, then carry your monsters around Main Street, the cafe, the mall, the farm and home: feed them, dress them up, hand them things to hold, and tap everything to see what it does.
A paradiddle is a drum rudiment — right, left, right, right; left, right, left, left. Eight strokes that sound effortless and are not. You practise it slowly for a long time so that one day it can be played fast without being thought about. That seemed like a reasonable thing to name a studio after.
Paradiddle Studios is small. It makes narrative games with a lot of care spent in places most people will never consciously notice.
